AGRI NEXT to be launched in Japan in October 2014

Reed Exhibitions Japan Ltd. has announced the launch of a new trade show specialising in advanced agricultural technology - "1st NEXT-GENERATION AGRICULTURAL EXPO TOKYO (AGRI NEXT)"
It will be held next October at Makuhari Messe international exhibition center together with Asia's leading international agricultural trade show - 4th Int'l Agricultural Material & Technology Expo Tokyo (AGRITECH JAPAN).

AGRITECH JAPAN is a B-to-B trade show specialising in agricultural materials and technologies such as fertilisers, pest control products, horticultural technologies, agricultural machinery etc. and has been successfully expanding every year.
With more players getting involved in the agricultural sector in Japan, there has been exceptional growth in ?Next-Generation' exhibits, for instance; field information management system, solar modules for solar sharing (generating solar power on the same land as where they grow crops), remote controlled farm machinery etc.. Thus there is a need to create a separate show to accommodate such firms.
In addition to the rise in the number of players, as the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is close to concluding the trade agreement, productivity and technological advancement of agriculture in Japan must rise to compete with imported produce. AGRI NEXT will therefore provide a platform for firms with ?Next-Generation' products, technologies and services that will improve efficiency and growth of agricultural business in Japan.
