SCHUNK sets new trends in efficient production automation

              10/27/2014

10.10.2014 - SCHUNK, the competence leader for clamping technology and gripping systems presented more than 20 new products at the Motek show this year. Three products stoke the spotlight though; the first fully automatic 3D design tool for additive manufactured gripper fingers, the SCHUNK eGrip, the most powerful pneumatic rotary unit, SCHUNK SRM, and the world's most compact electric gripper rotary unit, SCHUNK EGS. "After the great success of the AMB show, we succeeded in proving our innovation and efficiency as a trend-setting pioneer and competent partner for maximum efficiency in production automation at the Motek," said Henrik A. Schunk, Managing Partner of the SCHUNK GmbH & Co. KG in Lauffen, Germany. "In the field of handling and assembly, the Motek show is an important platform for practice-oriented exchange to concrete projects and a showcase for trend-setting concepts."

The best example in this connection are the mechatronic gripping systems, which according to Henrik A. Schunk, "allow new concepts and approaches in process design." With more than 300 mechatronic standard components, SCHUNK is setting benchmarks here, too.

In accordance with the motto "Gripping Meets Robotics," SCHUNK presented more than 20 new products at the Motek. In accordance with the motto "Gripping Meets Robotics," SCHUNK presented more than 20 new products at the Motek.

According to the motto "Gripping Meets Robotics," the innovative family-owned company presented numerous moving applications that showcased the limitless possibilities of their more than 4,000 components that make up the world's largest standardized module program for gripping systems. Visitor interest was piqued on the energy-efficient mechatronic SCHUNK gripper, rotary, and linear modules, and the fast SCHUNK Pick & Place units for high-performance assembly. The pneumatic modules, such as the SCHUNK PGN-plus universal gripper with its unique range of options or the SCHUNK MPG-plus gripper for small components, was also on display said Henrik A. Schunk. "The intelligent tool shows, which enormous efficiency potentials can be still today opened up with innovative solutions."
