2022 sees biggest week in biotech heading to WA

Two of Australia's premier life science industry events are heading to Western Australia in 2022, for the first time in more than 15 years. AusBiotech 2022 and Australia Biotech Invest & Partnering 2022 will showcase Australian life sciences, and deliver the biggest week in biotech for the year.
Lorraine Chiroiu, CEO of AusBiotech said, "AusBiotech is thrilled to be partnering with Business Events Perth and the WA Government to bring two of Australia's premier life science events to Perth in 2022, for the first time in more than 15 years. The mature sector continues to flourish and deliver social and economic benefits to the country, and these platforms offer critical opportunities for industry to engage with each other and with potential investors and partners."
It is expected that the two conferences will attract more than 1,000 Australian and global researchers, investors and industry stakeholders from across the life sciences pipeline to Perth, WA.
The annual AusBiotech conference is Australia's largest life sciences conference and has been delivered for industry, by industry, for more than 35 years. A world-class programme of forward-thinking, diverse, and engaging topics and speakers will drive meaningful discussion, and celebrate and champion the sector. The premier event unites companies and leaders, and offers the chance to engage, profile, partner, and build networks.

AusBiotech's Sector Snapshot 2019 revealed the Western Australia life sciences industry had notably increasing, with the number of organisations increasing from 119 in 2017 to 179 in 2019. Overall, the Australian life sciences sector has a substantial 1,800 organisations and employs around 240,000 people.
