Standard hopper forming machine to star at Macfrut 2012 (26th -28th September)
A not-to-be-missed event for key players in the fruit and vegetable supply chain and a unique showcase for all major technology developers and providers: this, in short, is Macfrut, the international fair dedicated to systems, technology and services for the production, processing, marketing and transport of fruit and vegetables, to be held in Cesena from 26th to 28th September 2012.
The fruit and vegetable supply chain is, in fact, a field in which Sacmi Packaging has, for some time now, implemented a unitary, integrated industrial policy to ensure customers are provided with turnkey solutions that span from the raw materials to the final consumer.
In an exhibition area covering 60 m2 (Hall B stand n. 258/259) visitors to Macfrut will have an excellent opportunity to find out more about the incredible performance and advantages available to them with Sacmi Packaging technology: solutions range from the latest plant engineering innovations that make the most of fruit and vegetable tray forming technology to end-of-line automation for the industrial packaging sector. Moreover, in addition to the standard machine range there is also plenty of scope for highly personalised solutions, all developed according to customer-specific needs. As always, the focus is on maximum plant efficiency and lower production costs for customers.
The common thread running through all the solutions is the fact that they have been designed for easy integration with other Sacmi machines.
Among the many new products that SACMI Packaging intends to exhibit is the TF12/Evoluzione 2012, an automatic forming machine for simple trays, open top-trays and trays with upper containment flaps. Key characteristics include outstanding flexibility thanks to mechanical operation, centralised adjustment with handwheels for fast size changeovers (5 - 15 minutes) and high output rates of up to 40 trays/min.
Complete size and glue zone adjustment is achieved via PLC and a touch-screen control panel. Trays can be stacked vertically and separated by lot using a TS43 mechanical stacker. It is also possible to position the stackers on all three outfeed sides. The blank is picked from the horizontal magazine by suction cups.
Glue zone application. Guided descent into hopper via inverter-controlled forming piston. Optional devices also allow prismatic corners for flapless trays and platform models with reinforced corners to be made at the forming station. Devices for doubling the short and long sides of the tray complete the assortment of optionals. |
