Rockwood Companies Co-exhibit at European Coatings Show (ECS)

STAND NUMBER 1-614, 19-21 March 2013, Nuremberg, Germany - Rockwood Color Pigments and Holliday Pigments are exhibiting at the European Coatings Show 2013, to be held at Nuremberg's Exhibition Centre, Germany, in March.
Three Rockwood companies will be in attendance, including Rockwood Pigments, Holliday Pigments and Rockwood Additives.
Rockwood Pigments' will be showcasing it global iron oxides for coatings range, with more details to be revealed at the show.
Also new for 2013:
Solaplex® Tintersol® TT dispersions developed for enhanced chromaticity and tint strength
Extension of the Tintersol® XSWB aqueous dispersion range to include a new TSR black for "Cool Roof" applications
The new global range of high purity FDA and cGMP compliant grades.
Rockwood's specialist Ultramarine business, Holliday Pigments, will be showing for the first time in Europe its latest additions to its Ultramarine violet and pink ranges: Premier VSB, VSR and PX.
In addition, Rockwood will be exhibiting:
High temperature -Solaplex®, Ferritan™ and Mapico® ranges -Yellow, Tan and Jet Black shades - can be effectively used as an extender for costly organics and withstand temperatures exceeding 400ºC.
High performance - Trans-Oxide® Pigments - transparent iron oxide pigments, available in Red, Yellow or Brown. Manufactured with needle-shaped particles that will not scatter light even when fully dispersed, they exhibit exceptional transparency and yet still are able to impart high color strength and protective weather resistance and UV-barrier properties.
Multiple function - Disperfin® and Timbasol® dispersions for wood, suitable for internal and external use, compatible with a wide range of solvent and water based media. At high pigment loading and tint strength, they exhibit excellent transparency and offer the formulator ability to produce a wide color palette, with the added benefit of excellent lightfastness, weatherability and UV protection.
Also being promoted: Solaplex® - an eco-friendly alternative to traditional heavy metal pigments occupying the yellow and orange color space, giving the highest performance for bright solid shades.
Colourplex® - Rockwood's well-established mixed metal oxide range designed for the most demanding coatings, including the latest technology in IR reflective ?cool' coatings for sustainable and innovative building design.
Holliday Pigments' new technical grades for coatings
Holliday Pigments is presenting its latest technical developments for high performance coating formulations.
Within the Ultramarine Violet color space, Premier VSB is a Violet, Strong Blue shade pigment and Premier VSR is a Violet, Strong, Red shade. Both grades exhibit a 20% higher tinting strength compared to their existing industry standard pigments.
Similarly, Premier PX is a new Ultramarine Pink that extends the tinting strength of Holliday Pigments' truly unique red shade inorganic offering by a further 10%.
Also featuring at ECS, Holliday Pigments will be showcasing its fine particle size grades for special effect coatings including Ultramarine TR which allows crystal clear transparency in suitable resins. Careful control of the particle size and particle size distribution (PSD) allows the production of easy-to-disperse, high color strength pigments.
Rockwood Pigments and Holliday Pigments is also sharing the stand with sister company, Rockwood Additives (www.rockwoodadditives.com). Rockwood Additives is a leading manufacturer of solvent and water based organic, inorganic and synthetic based rheological additives.
