Hyster Company Tackles Demanding Walkie Applications with New Heavy-Duty Walkie Pallet Truck

Hyster Company was excited to showcase the new W45ZHD heavy-duty walkie pallet truck this past week during MODEX 2014. Designed to be tough and intelligent, the new Hyster walkie can handle the rigors of the most demanding walkie applications.

The new Hyster® W45ZHD walkie pallet truck offers a variety of features that focus on reducing cost of ownership without sacrificing productivity. By utilizing a heavy-duty fork frame and linkage with HTX bushings, this truck is designed to perform in harsh applications. The heavy duty steel drive frame coupled with a highly engineered drive unit casting make this one of the heaviest drive unit frames in the industry. Hyster stands behind this rugged frame with an industry leading warranty that includes a lifetime frame warranty, a one-year, unlimited hour basic warranty and a three-year, 6,000-hour powertrain warranty.
To improve productivity through technology, the W45ZHD walkie is available with Hyster's patented Intelligent Lift™. This industry exclusive feature improves operator productivity up to 25 percent by allowing operators to simultaneously transport and lift pallets. Trucks equipped with this technology will automatically lift the pallet to the maximum fork height, without continually having to hold the lift button during transport. Another industry exclusive feature is Hyster's Intelligent Slow Down™. This option recognizes when the operator turns the truck during cornering and automatically decreases speed, allowing stability to be maintained. Additionally, this feature allows the unit to be placed in turtle function in all handle run zones, minimizing the truck profile and improving maneuverability.
