The digital outside micrometer "Submicrometer MDH" works with an enormous precision of 0.6 µm (MPEJ according ISO 3611, 2010) - compared to 2 µm in a standard micrometer.
No less impressive is this innovative device''s step value. It is 0.0001 millimetres, whereas conventional models feature a step value of 0.001 millimetres.
Thus, this highly accurate instrument is ideally suited for checking polished parts and components with particularly narrow tolerances, as well as in all cases where capabilities must be demonstrated and proved by measurement.
In the accuracy range realised by the MDH micrometer, minute tem-perature effects may already interfere with the measurement result. In order to be able to use the micrometer manually without any temperature effects interfering with the measurement, it is shipped as standard with a heat insulating cover for the frame.
However, the high-precision micrometer Submicrometer MDH is preferably used in a measuring stand. It is therefore designed with a particularly broad frame which ensures a firm support in the measuring stand''s clamp.
The device has a measuring range of 0 to 25 millimetres; the measuring force is 7 to 9 newtons.
As is customary in the digital hand-held measuring instruments by Mitutoyo, this top-of-the-line model also includes a Digimatic data output. The rotary sensor incorporating Mitutoyo''s ABSOLUTE technology is also a standard feature. |
