In today?? competitive marketplace, the demand for stronger, lighter, cost effective reinforcement is paramount. CHOMARAT manufactures a variety of structural grid and non-woven scrim products which can increase the strength and stability of conventional structural materials.
MeC-GRID? is a high performance non-carbon fiber based reinforcement made by bonding advanced fiber systems with epoxy resin in a closely controlled manufacturing environment.
CHOMARAT technology allows reinforcement products to be made with less weight and improved performance at equivalent or lower costs. Features include weight reduction, high strength, ease of handling, and outstanding chemical resistance for a number of harsh environments. These significant attributes provide tangible long term cost and performance benefits for our customers.
Our line of MeC-GRID? products are mechanically and chemically bonded, fully or partially cured, non-woven grid structures. The typical fiber reinforcements used are ECR, E-glass and Alkali resistant glass fiber, but we can use other advanced reinforcement fibers including Aramid, PVA fiber and hybrid combinations as required.
CHOMARAT?? proprietary high performance epoxy resin formulation is applied in MeC-GRID? structures. As a result, the MeC-GRID? structures capture the full tensile, flexural and compressive properties of the reinforcing fibers for projects requiring advance structural reinforcement characteristics.
Applications
MeC-GRID? structures are developed for externally bonded and strengthening reinforcement applications including civil ngineered application uses.
